This workshop will enable you to better understand the past, current and future relations between Aboriginals and the rest of Québec society. It also includes an overview of what elements of Aboriginal society need to be taken into account in the framework of natural resource development in areas subject to the Northern agreements, as well as in other parts of Québec. The roles played by the Government of Québec, promoters and Aboriginal communities in relation to development projects, as well as the contextual relationships between the various actors will be specifically discussed during the workshop.
